I have kept up with this case through mutual friends and know nothing has been done to the driver who killed this innocent young man. There have been no criminal charges though Connor did have the right of way when crossing the road. It seems so unfair that such a wonderful life could be taken, leaving his friends and family destroyed, and there be no repurcussions for the man responsible for this violent act. From what I have read and heard, Connor was a true class-act, and I only wish that more people were aware of his story. As a NY resident, I cringe everytime I get into a taxi and think - this could be that man who killed Connor. I found a website, created by his friends, with many great memories. http://www.respectance.com/Richard_Connor_OGorman

If anyone knows how to bring media attention to the story, please respond to my post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2966731331228977121.post-68191140782981599662009-04-11T11:40:00.000-04:002009-04-11T11:40:00.000-04:00You never know how an article will impact the read...You never know how an article will impact the reader, unless you hear feedback. Though I did not know Connor, I read your blog. Through senseless tragedies such as this, there are big lessons to be learned. I read your story and Scott's article to my 10 year old son this morning. He is notorious for not looking both ways before crossing the street, even though I've told him 1000 times. I purposely took the time to explain Connor's successes to him. Though this horrific tragedy may not have been Connor's fault, there is still a lesson to be learned. Thank you for sharing this...our deepest condolences are with Connor's family.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
